If your in america (I believe you are), they intagrate chemistry into physics so that it is not a required science class to graduate (at least that's what my physics teacher told us. We didn't have to take Chem thanks to it, though I was an imbesile(sp?) and took Chem anyways). This might also be different per state per region and, I'm certain, different from country to country.

Really, in Ohio (Pickerington School districts) we have to take Chemistry A, Physics, Earth Science, and Biology A and B in order to graduate.

My class was actually kinda lucky. I could get out with just two years of science. One class covered Physics, Earth Science, and Chemistry. All that was left was to take biology. But I (the stupid nut) took that three point class, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science (essentally C++ Programing... it's not really a science class, but it was in both the science and math catagories).

At the end of my High School career I had:
4 English credits
3 Socal Studies credits
5 Math Credits
3.5 Science Credits
4 Fine Arts
.5 Humanity credit (health)
4 Techical credits (electronics tech I, II, IV)- I skiped III, and IV is a 2 credit class.

and an exempt from a gym 1/2 credit.
