Heh, I had one of my weirdest customers yesterday at my job at CVS. When I first came in and opened up my register, this guy came and I proceeded as normal as I usually do w/ a smile and the always pleasant hello. When I looked at him, I could tell that maybe something was wrong w/ him. He must had something because his proportions were off a little but I wasn't staring nor the real reason why I said it was my "weirdest". He wanted to buy some dish washing liquid and used his card but it wouldn't accept so I told him it didn't and he acted like he didn't know what I meant. So I had him try a few times to be sure but still no dice. Seeing it was pointless to keep doing that, I asked if he had cash or use a check (he had one on the counter already). He said okay but the part that almost literally made me say out loud "WTF?" was when he not only wrote OK on the check but he also balled it up and keep it to himself and was like,"Well...." and I was like, "Well what may I ask?" :huh: and he replied by saying, "My card, did it go through?". I almost made an unpleasant face (that one) :mellow: but I kept it to myself and said, "No.... it didn't. :sweat:" He then did that stare again of confusion and I did my best to be nice. What was even weirder than that, he tried to take it w/ him and I was like "What are you doing? (grabs bag and take it out) You didn't pay yet." and he used the card bit and said again, "Did it go through?". I literally sigh in front of him and asked him to then nicely leave since he didn't seem to have any type of payment on him. What a way to start a shift. :\

How do you have no means of getting into college? Don't community colleges accept everybody and cost jack shit? You might just need to try a little harder, unless your community college is obscenely expensive for some reason, or you have some other crazy circumstance keeping you from going.

On a lighter note, I tried getting a floppy pizza into the oven today by tossing it in. (I didn't want to burn my hands.) It didn't work; it got halfway in there and then just kind of flopped out onto the oven door. Uni life is going well. the flat is 8 bedrooms of which 7 are taken. Only 2 girls and one bats for the other side, to be married to her fiancee in about a year.
Booze every night and one of the flatmates is a chef so food should be good. Since there are 2 girls and 5 guys we let the kitchen be decorated with the feminin touch of pink. Our flat is on the second floor and has a balcony so we waste our time with paper planes and waving to the students accross the court yard. Hope your all doing well with your own school and life. I don't know if you've seen the news or not, but I live in SC and there was a guy that got his arm ripped off by a appro. 13ft alligator in a lake that I left like 2 hrs before the incident. I was mad though cause I coulda been there if I didn't have to do church stuff that day, and my friend was there to see it all. He got personal photos of the guy's arm sticking out of the gator's mouth in the water, you could see the bone sticking over the top of the water. Pretty gruesome, but interesting in a way. Anyways, he said that the dude had a nice watch, and that it was still on the wrist when they obtained his arm. (Oh yeah, and it took 4 shots of a .45 cal sniper rifle to kill this beast) But yea, he said it was the wierdest experience in his life.

Hello everyone. For about the last hour, I've been browsing around the forums here, and I decided to join. The name's Mies, though many may know me as M from the Ichigos Sheet Music forums.

Now I am presently here, not because of interest, or because I wanted to, but because of a user named Animelover84 (http://forums.ichigos.com/member.php?u=8287) at my home forum. The user went around and sent out several PMs in regards to this forum asking members to be staff members, without restraint. While I do respect that this forum is currently under development, I also must respect the rules found over at Ichigos forums.

You may post your site or forum link in your profile. You may post your site in your signature, but not your forum. Do not blatantly advertise your site when posting. If a topic is relevant, you may point people to it. Don't make posts for the sole purpose of driving traffic to your site.

While you did not blatantly advertise exactly as the rules stated, you clearly did violate the rules we at Ichigos take great pride in, and it was for the sole purpose of bringing traffic here. I spent the last hour looking this site if there was even an inkling of reason why Animelover86 would advertise this site, other than for the sake of traffic. I have found no reason. Whoever the user Animelover84 is over here should understand that you should read the rules of the site and apply them on several different platforms, rather than weave around them as s/he did at Ichigos.

Needless to say, Animelover84 was banned over at Ichigos, and let it be known that if anyone else tries to recruit other members in a similar manor, the same will happen to them. This was the first time such an advertisement was made for your forums over at Ichigos, but we must crack down on this with an iron fist.

I hold no malice to AA, nor to Animelover84, but I do believe that rules should be properly enforced and respected of not just your site, but of the site you are attempting to advertise on.

I decided to make this post not out of anger--as I cannot stress this enough; for you are working hard at your goal of making a forum work--but to warn new users that reading the rules of other forums they attempt to advertise on is absolutely necessity. Failure to do so would likely lead to further detriment of AA's reputation in cyberspace. I know that the Administrator and the Moderators here at AA would not like that in the least.

I thought about making this message as a PM to the Administrator, but I figured it best for the forum to get this message in it's rawest form--first hand.
