Personally, I think they should not be allowed. Making your own thread for requests when there's already a request thread for all to use seems quite egotistical. It also creates a type of pseudo-duplicate thread.

By convention, everyone already knows the graphics forum is for showing off their work (or at least I hope they do).

I don't know...I think individual requests threads should be allowed. Half of the threads in the Art/Graphics forum are just ego posts anyway...also, these threads are good for two reasons:

They help keep the general request thread a bit cleaner.
They help the better set makers keep their requests more organized, which should be allowed, since they *are* helping out other members by doing their sets.

I think that these threads should be allowed, but that the thread starters shouldn't be allowed to bump their own threads with "more sets! check em out!" or what have you. Then, if nobody gave a damn about the artists work, their threads would quickly and harmlessly sink into forum oblivion anyway, doing no real harm to anyone, and teaching our unskilled-egotistical artists that they need more practice before showing off.

How about combining (for those that want to) their "Graphics Thread" (with all of their drawings/graphics, if they have one) and the "Request Thread" together? He could('ve) combined the two threads together in the first one.

I'm gonna vote option C) Depends.

Creating a personal request thread should be something that requires permision, it should only be given to talented members who have..so to speak previous experience. (they have in the past made various sets for members and we know they aren't just gonna forget about doing it and making the thread go to waste.)

My computer is doing my head in! It wont display a background for the desktop. Some anti trojan software put itself on. I can't simply put a new image for the background or select from the list as this option is grayed out. All i see is white even though the colour is set to blue and the picture appears when the PC is first turns on or off. Can anyone help?

@han: Boot into windows safe mode (do this by pressing F8 before the wnidows load screen). Once that is loaded, run an indepth spybot, adaware, virus and malware check on your computer. If it finds anything, remove it. Reboot windows.

If the trojan is still afflicting your computer after that, Google the program name with "trojan" or "spyware removal". About 5 hits down, you may find a tutorial on how to remove it.

I used Avast® and Spybot S&D and Adware SE regular scans.. IDK how secure that was, but its all I know.

I use NOD32 for Windows, and it's grand. I haven't had a virus yet with it, but it also costs money.

AVG works decent, but it didn't catch all the viruses my brother managed to attract. Also, never, NEVER, use Nortion AntiVirus. Even I know how to use a scan work around on that virus scanner.

I also use SB|S&D parallel to Adaware for Spyware, and Sygate for my school firewall. At home I have a tiny linuxbox used as a router, so I don't need a firewall for the windows machines.

Yay Extra phootage! My favorite part of the entire video was the swords with smoke and the cherry blossom explosion. I have no idea how much time that would take to do by hand (seeings how in 1983 they didn't really have computer aided graphics).

I thought it did have electrons and worked because space has electromagnetic fields that allow it's acceleration to alter.
