He got this japanese dragon sword and woke me up by showing it to my face, scaring the hell out of me by whacking me w/ it (unsheathed) where the covers were. We both used to play fight a lot since we're used to hitting each other w/ things when we were smaller. Rocks, garden tools, a metal ruler fight or that infamous Shoryuken incident. After playing one too many street fighter games w/ each other (warning: extreme idiotic moment) one day he put some flammable liquid on his hand. I turned around to see what he was doing but before I could say anything, he lit the lighter he had on his hand and shouted, "Shoryuken!!!!" and knocked the fuck out of me. >.< (ended giving launched back into a wall w/ my shirt on fire) I normally would have been mad but I let that slide since I almost did slash him w/ that sickle like garden tool once in a play fight. :heh:

Edit: I switched from 60 second figure drawings to 90 second ones. The extra thirty seconds makes a big difference. Hopefully I'll be able to get down to 60 seconds soon though, and then down to 30 seconds, which is supposed to be the best amount of time for these kinds of drawings. Then I can get my time lower and lower, until I draw full people in like five seconds, like Miyazaki, lol. :3

I want to play violin. I'm thinking of buying one when I get paid this week. The problem is, violins are expensive, and I want my first violin to be at least respectable.
So, violin players:
What are some affordable, yet decent violins I should look into? What's the least amount I should spend on a violin, before sound quality takes a significant hit? I don't have a problem spending money on this instrument (I can't think of anything more worthy of my money), it's just that I get paid biweekly, and I'm itching to start playing, so I'd rather not wait another two weeks if it's avoidable. (Although, I suppose I could borrow money from people if I need to.)

Depends what you're looking for. If you want near the beach, somewhere on the central (east) coast where the property boom hasn't hit as badly yet, if you want in the Burbs, not Sydney or Melbourne because the houses there are ridiculously expensive - Canberra's not too bad, but most people think it's boring. Of course, I can't really speak for anywhere but the East Coast cos I don't know anything about it!

But now it's all weird, there's like a half second delay in my left ear for hearing sounds, I hear like I'm supposed to in my right ear. the half second delay in sound makes an echo effect, because I hear sound in my right ear then hear it again half a second later in my left ear.

A 5 year old 40GB desktop coupled with tons of useless programs installed(by my dad and sis) plus 18GB of diskspace consumed by anime (leaving about 8GBs overall) AND an power outage while the said desktop was in sleep mode as opposed to turned off.

I need to get an external hard drive to back up my stuff! (Especially my anime...let's just say I have a few things in there that I won't be able to get anymore because of certain restrictions >.>)

External harddrives are quite cheap these days. Go for it!

Don't get maxtor, maxtor sucks. Western Digital and Seagate are pretty good, even if seagate bought maxtor a few years ago.

Toshiba is good too, you can even get password protection for those.
