no no i agree in fact i think that most japanese food is over rated. i can't say all because i haven't tried all of it obviously. there was this girl that was at my mate's sisters school who was a transfer student form japan. she used to go over to my friends house and make alot of japanese food for them as we're all kind of obsessed fanboys/girls. and the 1st thing i tried was onigirii. :bleh: man that was extremely bland and all i can remember was a cold wet texture with hardly any taste but a hint of fish. she made some cakes and other foods for us and alot of the food is really bland but the cakes were extremely nice.

but after going to yo sushi there wasn't really anything on the menu that i liked except maybe the noodle and chicken bread crumbs

my cousin spent two years out there teaching english, some of it is nice, pork bellie slices spiced quite nicely...but yeah, most of it is realy bland. give me a british sunday roast with all the trimmings any day
