Currently I'm on Soda O Rat's engine, just to see if I can make use of it. I pretty much have google figured out (I can use my other information lookup bot's code for that with a slight tweak). Getting the regular webpage hits will be a regexp nightmare, but I think that's doable in time. Anyways, I keep getting errors with the hash saying:

I wear contacts, and I love them. I'm near sighted, so i only need glasses to see stuff far away, like if i need to read the chalk board or something. Contacts have saved me the trouble of having to always wear or carry around glasses. I wouldn't switch back to glasses unless I really had to :) I recommend getting contacts, after you get the hang of putting them in and taking them out, they are more than worth it.

But glasses are overall better. Contacts are for people that are in denial that they wear glasses.

With contacts I can play sports, hunt and other physical things without worrying about my glasses. Also, when driving, I am constantly looking at different distances, so when wearing glasses, I get a head ache because my eyes are constantly having to refocus. I've been wearing contacts for like five years now. I think I've had a contact fall out maybe twice? And those two instances were because the same pair of contacts for longer than I was supposed to. Also, if losing your contacts worries you, get dailies, and carry and extra pair around with you. Then if a contact falls out, it doesn't matter, and you can just stick another one in.

As Asuka said, I can't stand driving or doing a lot of things in glasses. You lose your peripheral vision when doing glasses, kind of looking through two rolls of toilet paper. A total pain in the ass. Also, if you want to look around, you need to turn your head instead of just moving your eyes. It's unnatural and awkward. We're people, not owls. We're supposed to be able to move our eyes around and still see things. Pushing your glasses up when they slide down your nose is also kind of annoying.

I think the fact that around 98% of my highschool class wore contacts over their glasses is pretty strong proof. Lasik eye surgery is also becoming more and more popular. I don't see many models in glasses. Then again, what does the overwhelming majority's opinion matter? You can yell "opinions lol!" all you want, but you can also say that about almost anything else. How about that incredibly obese kid with horrible acne, no hair on the top of his head, and a huge birth spot on his chin? Is he gorgeous too, because his mom could never admit otherwise? ;P

So yeah, even if we do have twenty people on here go, "but I like glasses on guys," that doesn't change that 99.9% of the guys I've met *don't* like their glasses, or that the majority of (American) people don't seem to either.

So what if glasses make men *appear weak*? That's personal opinion. I rather wear glasses since it's easier for me and I like wearing them personally. Sure, there are some disadvantages to wearing them but i rather fix my glasses on my nose and keep them safe then having to deal w/ the hassle of taking some contacts in and out of my eyes everyday w/ the possible burning of the eyes from having it on too long or have them drop out and have to wash them to put them back on.

My English teacher hooked up his intercom system to his amplified speakers, and as thus, we cannot hear any of the announcements. So apparently, there was a tornado drill going on and we had no idea until some girl came in and asked, "Er... are you guys going to go? There's a drill."

In which case we all filed out and probably would have been blown away and impaled on a whirling piece of medal in the air had it been a real tornado.

Thanks again PFT, for being intelligent enough to admit that human beings actually have instincts and subconsciouses. It's an idea that most people can't swallow apparently, for reasons I don't understand. XP
Anyway, glasses are a weakness. People who say they aren't are kidding themselves. You can't play sports in them. Fighting would be harder in them. Doing anything that requires peripheral vision in them is...impossible. Etc, etc. There's a reason the special forces don't take people in glasses (or contacts). Then again, Angelic is so much smarter than us mere cavemen. He probably uses his incredible mind to see things in glasses that would be simply impossible for other, lesser beings. ;P
