if I were the one thats done the work I ussualy ask for their part 3 times during the time I am working, (and make note of them) after that I dont speak about it. Whoever shows up with their work good, whoever dosent.. simple. They dont get their name on it.. = they dont get the grade for it.

Happened to me many times. I'm kinda lucky as I somehow magically get turned into a group leader or am the last person in possession of the material before the due date. I talk to the teacher in the background about how XXX didn't do work, and don't put their name on the assignment --- giving them no credit for the assignment, and also leaving them uninformed about it.

It was a group project; I say give everyone equal credit and cut your losses. If you had a problem with the way your group was working, you should have confronted them about it early on and had them set straight. It's unfair that they'll be getting credit for something they didn't put work into, but it'd be even more unfair to blindside them all with zeros.
So yeah. When you have problems with your group, make sure to take care of it early on, so that everyone can do the work and everyone can earn the grade. That whole "well, they didn't do any work, so I'm going to sneak off to the teacher now and have them all fail" thing is dirty, in my book. If you have problems with people, tell them to their faces, and make them fix it. If they refuse to fix it, tell your teacher early on, so that you can leave the group or have the problem solved in some similar manner. Don't wait till the last second and then decide to screw your whole group over because you were too afraid to confront them all!

I'm saying this as somebody who has both lead groups to victory and slacked off beyond belief. Luckily, when I've slacked off, the groups I've been in have always told me so and gotten me to work, instead of slinking off behind my back the day the project is due to get me a failing grade. I try to give everyone else the same courtesy. X3

Besides, making your teammates fail isn't going to help your grade, so why do you care? Just take your A and be happy about it. :3

Yes, but it's harder for someone to kill loads of people by stabbing them before getting taken down - so, we have gun warning systems in school now. Kinda sad - freaked me and Chris out when we went to visit - we were going 'was there a bomb scare???'. The times we live in I guess!

I agree with the obnoxious thing. This does bring something else to mind...

The worst thing for me is I know alot of Japanese ESL students and I can honestly say the worst english I've ever heard spoken by a Japanese person has been in "instructional" videos (this one was actually pretty good for that) and a few animes. Genshiken and Gantz come to mind. The "american" characters in a few episodes of those had absolutely -horrible- accents. I don't mean to sound like an ass or anything but it makes me a sad panda when they can't be bothered to find someone convincing to play an American. It can't be that hard. :(
