I know the material contained is sometimes questionable, but it offers a HUGE amount of information. It's a good site to go to for finding background information on just about anything.

No but seriously, your computer already has a virus called Microsoft Windows on it. It messes your system up without asking, changes things around and deletes some files which you want to keep (again, without asking)

Viruses on a computers like Bacteria on people. Your computer's infected by probably a hundred viruses at the least, almost all of which do basically nothing. They're mostly harmless because yes firewall and antivirus programmes do work. (following the definition of a virus, half of your applications qualify to be viruses too)

And really, do click on the link. Its harmless. (or so it is supposedly, but who knows.. since its flash it could contain a secret script that places a trojan in your computer)

Its a temp Trojan virus that loads only to your ram and sets millions of millions of popup windows in IE 5.0.

It's been a while since I visited the link (since IE 5.0), but I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. (hasn't proofed the link)

It'll clear out once you restart your computer.

Well now that I've had my crash course on viruses (to be honest I didn't really care so I never learned about them) let me just say this: I don't download. If I can avoid getting a virus in some way, I will do it by not downloading things. Get it? Got it. Now let me nuke my food.

Sigh.. really, you need to learn not only basic manners and "computing for dummies", but also English.

I don't give a shit if you do/don't download porn or game or anime or whatever. But don't go mislabelling everything and listen when someone tries to correct your misunderstanding.

Again, I don't give a shit if you don't understand any of this crap we've just said before. You're probably to young to even understand the basics behind how a keyboard works. You don't have to understand mechanical engineering to drive a car.

What I DO give a crap about, and have been trying to fix, is the fact that you've got wrong ideas. What You Meant and What You Said were different things. One of which was totally stupid(this is what I've been trying to correct). And the other which is just paranoid (this is what Mies' been trying to tell you, I believe)

Well I posted it before. Huh, I'm offended for once. I may be paranoid, ignorant, and annoying, but I already have spyware. I don't want anything else.
So think. I may be young. I may be foolish. I admit everything to that. But I understand everything I read (except for algebra x_x). So if you were trying to get a point across then you did just that. But you misunderstood me and my view. It's my choice to not download stuff. Avast is one of the best free virus scanner, but that's the limits of free. It's worth the switch. NOD32 scans Web pages, and does a constant system check in the background too. Database is usually updated every week or so, so it's up to date, and it's pretty low profile.

So I heard from a very reliable source that your sister spied on you Aries...

For instance Sin[47] on a TI-83 comes out as .7313537016.

That obvously doesn't simplify into a fraction. BUT! You can also write that as the sum of all numbers n from 0 to infinity of the equation ((-1)^n*(47)^(2n+1))/(2n+1).

That's the exact answer of Sin. In fact, that's what the calculator did to find the value it gave you and it rounds up at about the 128th place beyond the point.

Sin[x] Is a trig function. The x variable is a degree marking of a Right triangle. It's basically a way of equating a right triangle. Sin[x]=opposite side from the angle x / hypotenuse of the triangle. Opposite is the side directly across from the angle.

Alternately Cos[y] Is the same thing, only slightly different. The variable x and y do not equal each other (very natural for triangles). Cos[y] = Adjacent side of the angle y / hypotenuse of the triangle. The adjacent side is the smaller of the two sides touching the angle y.

The hypotenuse is the largest of the three sides.

The above two triangles only work if one of the three angles is equal to 90 degrees.

Basically Sin[47] is finding the ratio of the sides of these triangles. So if I go Sin of 45 degrees (a perfect right triangle), you get Sqrt(2)/2 for a solution where Sqrt of 2 is the value of the opposite side on the triangle, and 2 is the value of the hypotenuse of the triangle.

To explain what I was doing above, I was taking a factored equation (Sin[x]+Cos[y])^47 and expanding it so that you have all your variables into individual terms. Take, for instance, (x+2)^2. To solve this, you need to expand it out. Doing so give you (x+2)*(x+2). Solving it gives you x*x+2x+2x+4 == x^2+4x+4.

Now to what I did. Basically I took Sin[x]+Cos[y] and expanded them out 47 times. That's (Sin[x]+Cos[y])*(Sin[x]+Cos[y])*(Sin[x]+Cos[y])*(Sin[x]+Cos[y])*(Sin[x]+Cos[y])*(Sin[x]+Cos[y])*... 47 times.

I then combined like terms and used the trig identity of Sin^2[x]+Cos^2[x] = 1, and a couple of other theories to simply it down to individual, solvable terms.

The whole point of doing this is so you can find a Derivative or integral of the equation (this is the calculus part). By finding the Derivative you get the value of the slope of the tangent line. By doing this you can find the exact equation of an irregular line. By taking the integral you can find the area that is underneath the line, but greater than zero.

And just about any degree in college requires at least calculus I. This is the midpoint of Calc II.

What are you talking about? That's the fun stuff! I haven't got to the difficult part yet!!! Like number theory. See the paradox of dividing by zero thread in the general disscussion to show you what I mean. That was a simple (and flawed) proof of zero. Imagine what it's like to formally prove the statment that 1<0 or that x!=y iff x<=y. Or even better yet!!! Taxi gemotry and 3d symetry! Do you have any Idea how hard it is to determine how to rotate an object with the 3rd dimention to prove it can fit a certain shape?

After spending about 7 hours and a page of text (ABSOLUTELY NO NUMBERS!), you realize that that stuff is very fun. I wanna go back to Calculus!

Nah. That's the baby right triangles. I just used a 45-45-90 for an example of what a trig function does, because some math classes cover that early on.

And Kou does have a point. It gains a pattern really quick, but the problem's answer just gets disgustingly long.

It doesn't much matter, the script hasn't cut you off yet (which is a little suprising, seeing how the sig is just one image). I violated the sig rules for about 7 months (violations being the character count, allocated space, and greater than one image) and never was told to change a thing.

It's not like it's a blob that goes through the 7 primary colors in a split second.

And speaking of sigs... I think its time for me to make a new one off of kanon... The current one is nice, but I've used it before.

It's 50kb, though...

I was having a hard time finding a good quality picture of Makoto, so I just stole one of the pics from the artbook (very bad scan quality at that).

I think I did a decent job cleaning the original pic (http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/3021/makoto006kh1.jpg) up. 15 mins fixing the levels so the glow matched the way they made her look in the anime revision, 4 mins fixing the speckle problem with despeckle, gaussian blur and many many different layers, a little bit of cloud rendering with a hint of deep blue to make it look somewhat like snow, and fading the veil a little so that the render stands out from the background less. All this aside, I just didn't have any ideas for effects and all that sig stuff that makes sigs beautiful...

I'll pro'lly cycle through a couple.

Sounds more like Eletronics with a bit of physics tied in. I forget the constant of copper resitance, but there should be only one answer to it.

Spanish for me. Its not hard. It just gets a little annoying when the teacher counts off because you didn't put the accent mark in where you should of or when you forgot to even put one down. How I wish my school offered Japanese as a second language.

Well, the home tower's working on the reworking of the number. I'll get back with everyone it about 3 or 4 hours worth of computation (for some odd reasion, it has been comming out as rational number, so I set the precision uber high; 10^3232280 to be exact...)

Other than that, yeah. It's homework for me.

There's also unicode, but that gets a bit too technical to explain on how to enter it into your computer.

I have a stalker at school.

She's female, she's always following me, and today I went to the library during lunch and I thought I heard someone call my name but I didn't see anyone, 1/2 a minute later she walks in the library door and asks me if I heard her calling me, I said no, and then she follows me around the library talking as I try to pick out a few books, the librarian asks her something and I try to sneak out the door. She sees me, yells out my name, and runs up to me and asks me where I was going(being fussed at by the librarian for yelling). A few of my friends are friends with her and they asked her while I wasn't around about her attention towards me, she told them that she is working up to asking me out.

I'm reading a book *runs off and gets it* called 'Airborn' by Kenneth Oppel. It's definately going down on my favorite book list. I just got it yesterday and I already read 130 pages. I know that that's not much, but with all the school work and this place it's actually pretty miraculous. I totally and completely recommend it.
I had a stalker once. *rushes to catch up on the conversations* Way, way, back in second grade I was known as the 'brains' of the class, and one girl would not leave me alone. All she did was follow be around like a lost puppy. I'd tell her to back off, I'd ignore her, I'd turn my back on her completely, but she was one stubborn girl.
Eventually, I gave up and became friends with her. It was forced......anyway, I gave her my number once and every day for two months she would call and talk for at least an hour. Sometimes it was for homework and I didn't mind, but most times it was just to bug me. She finally stopped, though.....
I hate hand lotions. Except for curel. Everything else leaves my hands feeling like I dunked them in barrels of grease, which is pretty much the case.
I realize now taking art class was a mistake. My teacher ignores me except for when she wants to critisize (that's not how it's spelled....). Grr.
Sorry for such a long post.......I didn't realize....... :heh: :sweat:

Stalker strikes again!

We had College day at our school today for seniors. I was walking around gathering information and filling out various forms... *BOOM* there she is, following me. College day ends, we have 30 minutes free time in the auditorium(huge, by the way) I go to the back where no one is and sit in a seat with its back to the wall and start dozing off. I close my eyes for about 2 minutes and reopen them. *BAM* She is sitting in the seat right in front of the one where I am sitting staring at me. She asks me what lunch shift I have, and I told her, for some stupid reason, and I also told her that I say in my 3rd period teacher's classroom instead of going to lunch. *BADABING* Lunch time rolls around and here she comes strolling into Mrs. K's room....

Forward to after school -

I arrive at work... she's already in the store standing at the front register.

I leave with my brother-in-law to go out to his house because he's selling it and a potential buyer came to look at it.

I come back to the store(mom has since called and told me she left.)

About 3 minutes after I get back to the store, *REPEAT* there she is again!

I say I have homework and go to the back and pretend to work on my British Literature.

...I'm fine for a few minutes, then she strolls to the back and comes right on in my back room(employee's only!) and sits down in front of my and watches me work on tomorrow's assignment(because I don't really have homework.)

*facepalm*

She finally left after saying byeeeeeee.....

DO NOT PLAY WITH THE MONITOR!!! random stuff....umm ok learn C++ that should keep ya busy...once done design an OS that will run pretty on 48 mb of ram and a 50 mhz cpu...while still ofering the responsiveness of modern OSes....and conserving GUIs and eye candy.

Maybe it's like me and Fur Elise. Two years ago, I played it over and over until I started having nightmares over it. Then I stopped.

You know that bit I posted God knows how long ago? Yep, that's a bit I wrote for friends. (you know, I've told you before) I've written a lot more than that, and more still. I just like writing! I'm pretty good, when the mood strikes me...........anyhoo, it wasn't a serious piece. Just for fun, and a return gift. Yep, I believe in return gifts. Is there nothing wrong with that?

Queen Selecia Lunaria was staring through her chamber window solemnly. Things haven't been quite right lately in her kingdom. The wind was always howling and the sky continued to darken. She turned to her long time friend. "Leena, something's wrong. I think the clouds are warning us of a catastrophe in the near future. That's what it feels like."
Leenalia turned from her Seeing Eye, a stone that allows her to gaze upon her own kingdom. "well, there is this feeling that I can only describe as bad," she replied. "I wonder what it could possibly be."
Queen Selecia gasped and beckoned to Leenalia. "I think that's what they were warning us of," she exclaimed, pointing. Standing in front of the crystal palace was the one they called Aries Fire, a demon born of destruction. Aries looked up and smiled warmly at them, then walked forward into the palace.

Personally I thought the text was a little too plain and straightforward. But that's just me. I would do a full critique, but I'd do the same thing that I did to Hiei and, well, ......
